CometX is a Society of Slovak and Czech eXpats, students, professionals and all other compatriots living in Switzerland.

Our mission is to bring awareness about compatriot activities and promote ongoing dialogue among and between all the fields of interest including business, science, industry, art, economies, and current socio-political topics. We further focus on networking activities to help people broaden their business and personal network as well as promote extraordinary achievements of Czech and Slovak expats in both Switzerland and our homelands.

The mission of CometX arises as a simple feeling of not having enough connection with our homelands, compatriots, and culture. Many of us moved to Switzerland to study, discover a new environment, work opportunities, and ourselves, or simply join our families on their journey. This road has been paved with inspiration, joy, and success but sometimes also with doubts, overwhelm, and disappointment. We bring a unique opportunity for all students, skilled workers, scientists, artists, freelancers, entrepreneurs, companies, and start-ups to get to know your Czech and Slovak fellow citizens in Switzerland. We can provide a great deal of information one needs for a smooth start in Switzerland, maintain your local connections, and, if desired, find a satisfying way of returning to your home country.
