Dominik ‘Niko’ Dubovský lives and works in the US. Imagine you’ve just arrived in a city for a trip, looking for a spot to park your car to grab a coffee. Unfortunately, you cannot make heads or tails of how the parking system works or how to pay. After several minutes of trying, you just give up and hope that while drinking the coffee you will not be fined. “When things don’t work on the first few attempts, people stop trying in the future and that leads to two outcomes. Firstly, they have a bad experience with a city and its services; secondly, the city loses potential revenue,” Slovak Dominik ‘Niko’ Dubovský, co-founder of the American company SuperCity, tells The Slovak Spectator. And it’s not just about parking; how often do you learn of an event you would definitely want to attend — after it took place? How often have you had to visit multiple websites in order to get the information you need about a city?
